I’ve been thinking about the little things that make me feel
cozy and calm, so I wanted to share my favorites.
My 5 Favorite Comfort Things
- Weighted & Soft Fluffy Blankets:
The perfect mix of cozy and soothing pressure that feels like a warm hug around you.
It makes my brain calm down and chill out for a bit. It feels like I'm safe underneath my heavy blanket,
it holds me together in a way that's hard to describe.
- Laying In Bed Drinking Coffee:
This is my favorite slow-down moment.
Slow mornings or late nights where time feels like it’s just for me. It’s simple but somehow makes the day feel easier to handle. Also caffeine has a thing to calm me down also, it gives me a sort of comfort. Maybe it's just in my head, but I always need one cup before I go to bed to calm down.
- Journaling, Writing, or Sketching:
When my thoughts get too loud, putting pen to paper helps me sort through the noise. Sometimes it’s words, sometimes it’s just doodles or scribbles. But it always helps me breathe, when the world is spinning too fast.
- Just Cuddling My Dog:
There’s no judgment, no stress.
Just warm fur and soft breathing. It’s like a reset button for my heart when things get heavy.
It is the pure, warm love that melts the stress away.
- Snacks:
Little treats that make everything a bit sweeter and brighter.
I can't deny I've a sweet tooth. I love snacks!
It doesn't have to be something super sugary or unhealthy, it can be anything from fruits to just a piece of bread. But my favorite snack for sure is peanut butter. Just the ones that's salty and crunchy.
